Coil Lockout should be altered

Problem -

my FC has 2 coil groups. We all have jobs, and sometimes we can't make it, so 1 group clears and 1 group gets shafted.

Suggestion -

Allow people to do coil as many times as they want each week. The first time you do a turn, you can get Tomes and Loot. If you do the same turn a second time you are not eligible for loot or myth, regardless of getting an item or not.

Example - Rasix does Turn 1 on Monday with team A. He didn't win any loot. on Tuesday, team B attempts coil but is missing their bard. Rasix could go with and help, but would not receive Myth tomes or be eligible to roll on loot.

Please? =/

I disagree with you. Since ppl will get more help from their LS and FC i think there will be less ppl buying. If you see more selling shouts that'll be because its the same ppl that haven't filled their quota. So I agree with OP. I like running coil and i know ppl that could use the help.

I agree with you. If the OP's suggestion were to be approved, there will DEFINITELY be coil selling runs as there is nothing stopping them from doing so since they can run it as many times as they want. Gonna be like Titan HM all over again. People will end up selling Twintania runs.

But is there any actual impact of coil runs being sold? It'd just be a transfer of Gil. If someone purchased Gil out of game to buy a coil run, they would likely get caught eventually and the Gil stripped from the person they gave it to.

That's where the chain effect comes in. For example : Someone buys Titan, doesn't know anything about the fight, gets carried and in the future does not do very well with any more difficult content compared to that. People will go like "OMGWTF How did you even get you relic?" bla bla bla. Harassment etc.

You're right, but I guess at that point the question that comes in is whats more important, quality of life for your subscribers, or preventing what in reality is a very very small subset of people that will buy coil runs.

Well, which is why they keep trying to push more content, no? That would keep you occupied. I personally think it's pretty good the way it is now actually, though CT could be fixed in terms of their looting system. I think the reason why they do it this way is to prevent people from being shut out. Like previously in Titan HM, everyone only looks for people with experience bla bla and those who do not have it will be shooed away to use the Duty Finder service. In the end, if you do not have the money (to buy the run) or a good friends list, you might as well just forget about it. I'm not saying Duty Finder is impossible as nowadays people seem to be getting better in there! With the lockout, I guess it helps in a way to form more parties for it, not just having people who've done it to bring you through it. This seems to be the case for the server I'm in at least, looking at the Party Finder everyday. You almost always see a PF post for it but hardly any on Titan HM, for example. Anyway, this is just based on my experience in my server, could be different for the rest.

It may sound contradictory and a loopy argument but yeah.

P.S : It is also a way for them to make you keep your subscription, no? :P
