Will there ever be a Card Game in FFXIV?

I guess the Card Game is also a trademark of Final Fantasy, seeing how most FF has it. So I was wondering if there is any news that this will be included in future contents?

"Most FF" is not 2 games. It would be fairer to say most FF have some kind of minigame, but not necessarily a card game.

I've heard there where some ideas for one to be implemented with Golden Saucer.

I'm okay with a card game being added, as long as it's played like Apples To Apples or Cards Against Humanity! Screw that math junk, gimme some humor!

There was mention of a Tetra Master / Triple Triad / etc type Card Game as one of at least 3 Mini-games to be introduced in 2.3/2.4 with the Golden Saucer.

Along the same lines the following 'Mini-games' have also been mentioned:
Snowboarding
Basketball hoop-shot
Chocobo Racing
Chocobo Raising
PVE Battle Arena (IE Boss Rush)
PVP Frontlines (24v24)

Of course we could always get poker if the Platinum Mirage ever opens its doors to us adventurers...

I don't recall them mentioning it being part of the Golden Saucer, but they definitely said they're working on a card game that players can play with with each other while in their FC housing.

I'd love this, we already have some of the art in-game! Every time I do a levequest I wish I could collect the cards. ^_^
