The Appeal of Unicorns

How many of you got one, and regularly use it? I never even got mine, probably never will either. I never really liked horses, putting a horn on it's head doesn't really change much if it doesn't leave a rainbow trail behind it.

Figured this would be a nice change of pace from the endless stream of threads from butthurt whiners & ragequitters.

It might be worth it once I get my BLM up to 50 and dressed in Darklight though:

I tend to use the unicorn in the Black Shroud, goobbue in La Noscea, coeurl in Thanalan, ahriman in Mor Dhona and legacy chocobo in Coerthas. I like the variety and I feel they fit the areas perfectly.

I got myself a unicorn on three different characters, and I would say when I am riding I am using them 98% of the time. Growing up The Last Unicorn was my favourite movie and I've been obsessed with them ever since lol.

But, yes, I have my unicorn and I don't ride anything else. I got the other mounts (coerl, choco, ahri)...but always blow my unicorn trumpet!
(besides the music is kinda dippy....like white mage hippies should be)

lol... creepily something! I like it =P

I use the chocobo mostly now, cause it's the only one keybound... I used to ride the others (coeurl, magitek armor and unicorn) for a while too... I'll change back soon... I'm missing the coeurl =P Plus for some reason the chocobo music turned back on and is starting to nnoy me, so I kinda wanna go back to coeurl...

Btw... Did anyone notice that the cast bar on the party UI no longer says "Chocobo Whistle" but now it says "Mount" instead? :P

I'm on my unicorn 100% of the time! I've been unicorn and other mythical creature obsessed as long as I can recall. Once I get my hands on the Nightmare, it may go 50/50 ride time. My poor chocobo hasn't seen me in a long while.

I like using horses and similar mounts in games like this because I like the sound of hooves. Just associates with "fantasy" in my brain, I guess.
