Non-coil PLD -- myth upgrade options?

Sorry if a semi-redundant questions since another relic +1 yes/no thread already exists. Currently I have myth body, full DL, hoplite head and ring, and just recently got the relic curtana and shield. I am wondering what my optimal mythology spending would be to gear up, and also I have a caveat that I will not be getting Coil gear as I don't have time to commit to playing my PLD in a Coil group (only my bard, if even that). As such, I am looking for the order in which I should upgrade my gear ^_^v If any of you experienced paladins could provide feedback that would be awesome ^^

Note: What I really wonder is should I upgrade my Shield/Weapon before getting any more myth armor, or maybe get the Hero's Ring/belt then head/legs/hands before even upgrading my relic -- Keeping in mind that Coil drops are not in the future. ^^ Thanks again!

The majority of people i've spoken too says go with The shield. Ignore the +1 on weapon for a while, but shield should be first priority because of the mitigation boost it offers.

Then it really depends on other things. Are you planning on going CT at all? I got my CT chest then bought my helm. I got CT boots so i'm saving for Myth Legs so I can get rid of my 2pc DL.

Hero's ring seems to be commonly worn. I'll be using Hero's Ring and Gryphonskin Ring(already wearing this one).

Then you can start upgrading accessories or do +1. If agro isn't an issue the stat upgrade from the +1 sword may not be as good as being able to do almsot 2 upgrades on accessories. If agro is still a concern I'd get weapon before accessories to get that out of the way.

I would go valor coronet -> Hero's ring of fending -> Holy shield Zenith -> whatever you want next.

If you aren't doing Coil what are your long term goals? Can't go wrong with Head and Ring but after that the upgrades you can cater to your content.

My only goals for my PLD is to get full myth gear and help out my LS when they need a tank :) And thanks for the input, all ^_^v

If you are not going coil and are not looking for specific drops just get them in whatever order you want. +1'ing the shield gives what 13-14 more block and rate? and like 2vit. Chest/hop and Legs/hop will give you 2def, 8vit, 2-4 parry. I wont be upgrading my shield until my armor slots are done (sword will be last). I have basically the same goals for pld as you but I plan on getting the Crown of Light and the Breeches of light from Labyrinth to save the most myth while still getting the major myth pcs when I want them. If its straight stats you want go Chest or Legs first. If you really just want a full set of myth just take your gallant gear and put them on in whatever order you like the most and then buy in that order lol.

Well if you aren't concerned with accuracy caps (tanking coil) then just go with fill ins. While the myth ring is a good upgrade I'd suggest, you can fill that i60 ring spot with EX Garuda's instead, and spend myth on body pieces and use your DL i70 ring in the second slot. Then you can go with Valor head, farm up CT legs and go with Valor feet. Then probably grab Valor gloves (or CT ones) and fill in wherever you feel like. This isn't a min/max method, but if you aren't Coil running on it, it'll get you high ilvl and Valor pretty quick.

On a normal progression PLD starting out for min/max I'd say Myth Ring (grab EX Garuda's as well) > Valor body > CT head > Valor legs > CT feet > Valor Gloves > CT Belt, then back track and fill what you feel best. This is a good method to keep you at/near accuracy cap, get higher ilvl & VIT quickly, and leave some flexibility for Coil drops considering BiS. You can fill a neck spot i80 from HM Ultima of course, or grab that i80 HM Ultima ring as well if you don't feel confident enough to tank Garuda EX.

If your not going into coils, save up myth and farm CT! If you can get helm of light (lass boss I think) then awsome! If at the end of the week, if u didn't get helm, then just buy head. Then SAVE myth... And see if CT legs drop next week, if they do- cool go by myth boots. After you get DL body and DL legs replaced completelly, you can literally buy what ever you want in any order. I say this because your not interested in coils, so your gear upgrades will already be super strong for content
