How did the community become this toxic?

I remember when the game first launched and I started playing, almost everybody was helpful and it was a lot of fun to group up and do random stuff. So what happened?

PF is full of nothing but people trying to sell carries for HM's / EX Primals, even going as far as joining other peoples attempts to get a legit group together and causing them to fail.

Right now I see people trying to sell "Crafting Powerleveling service for 750k" ... What the hell is that?

You can't put something on the market board without it being instantly undercut for 50% of the average price, so making any kind of profit from anything you do is near impossible.

Seriously, what happened?

More and more WoW players are moving in.

Yoshi P custom tailored this game to the lowest common denominator and gee what do you know, it turned out terrible. Working as intended!

This is just how new mmos are.

I would say any group of people is going to have bad apples. Sometimes you just have to look a bit harder to find the awesome people that make you remember why you play MMOs in the first place. I helped a couple randoms, along with a friend of mine who recently got the game, with the storyline Ifrit battle.
We all had a blast, and I made a couple friends. Yeah, there's a lot mediocre people you will encounter.. but I like to think those few great encounters justify the rest.

You have absolutely no way of qualifying that statement and it is absurd, nobody would leave WoW to play this game anyway

I don't know, I was heading to get the 1st step in my mnk relic and I saw someone failing really hard at the CT fate, My hubby and I pop off our chocobos asked if they wanted help changed jobs got the fate down and the person thank us and we moved on.

It's all eye of the beholder.

E-Peens are growing. Some super nice people I used to know during the entire 1.0 era are now full of themselves all because they managed to get some wins and 1337 loots.

Humans just suck. Find a FC / LS that fits you, and play with only them. Makes all the BS in the rest of the game seem silly. :)
