Dear SE: Your posting restrictions are ridiculous.

Absolutely ridiculous.

I've waited 24 hours to say this.

Now all of the other posters can come and call me spoiled, self-entitled, lazy, tell me to go play something else, or whatever else they want to say in mindless defense of this utterly over-the-top, extremely heavy-handed attempt at not hiring Moderators for the forum.

My point still stands.

Now i will go make my 3 remaining posts and then leave the forums for the rest of the day. Shame i can't stay and talk about the game I enjoy playing for more than 20 minutes a day.

Moderation seem to be relatively lax. I have no idea how many moderators there are, or if this is an intended policy or not. (before someone says it: yes, there are far worse forums than here out there)

But the hypothesis that this is a (cheap) way to reduce the moderation needed on these forum seem valid.
(cheap because having reached lvl 50 doesn't make one immune to trolling/flooding/generally be a nuisance, and having not reached it doesn't mean one cannot have anything interesting to contribute to the community and discussions)

I totally agree and I'm really tired of it. The forums are stable now.

I'd rather have the 5 minute post restriction that was in place before rather than this X posts per day BS.

This is the first forum that I've been that has a X number of post restriction.

PLUS! The annoying 1,000 character limitation, I'm sorry, but I fail to understand what's that for again?

As much as I'd agree on any in game issue that people complain about 24/7, this issue can be sorted out a lot easier because it's just the forum and it would be incredibly easy to lift the limit. I understand why it's in place but it doesn't work and never will. It worked for the first week but as soon as everyone started spamming fates and getting to lvl 50 it hasn't done anything to stop trolling etc. The only thing it's actually been useful for is stopping RMT posts but even that has appeared on here on more than 1 occasion.

SE please listen to this, there's no real reason for all these restrictions anymore and if you allow people to edit in more than 1000 characters why have the initial restriction?

Sometimes people are bored. When they're bored, they want to talk about stuff. So naturally the official forum for a game they enjoy playing seems like a good place to do that.

These restrictions were originally put in place when the forums were getting hammered b/c the game was online and nobody could play due to the login issues. That's been resolved and the forums have been stable ever since. There's no need for the restriction anymore.
