NPC's loading very slowly,anyway to fix?

I just recently got onto Excalibur,the server my friends play,now when I played a different server for a small amount of time I had no issues with NPCs loading,so I am unsure if this may be because of the high population,but some times it can take up to ten minutes for any of the NPCs to load,is there anyway I can change the settings to perhaps hide characters or allow npcs to load up first or faster?

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved.
