[Just Why?]Item Count for Achievements does not count Yeld+1.

In order to obtain the tools of Luminary for my Miner and Botanist, I always made sure to complete the necessary achievements as I go up with my levels. I am currenly lv32-33 on both, working on the Item lv20-30 x1000 Achievements (Logging the Hours III, Mining your own Business III), and was so excited about to get to use my new lv30 ability (the Yeld+1 one) to quicken this up.

How disappointing to find out the extra yeld is not counted. I was at 610 when I engaged my first logging point with the ability ready, and after successfully striking all 4 hits, checked again only to find out my count was at 614, and not 618.

It's already so difficult to use ANY skill with how low the GP pool is and how slowly it recovers. Why even gimp it further making extra yeld not be counted by the achievements? I mean, I can only use it once every five minutes already, so what kind of abuse were the Developers concerned about when doing this? I can't really find an answer.

The achievements do not say "Gather XXX items", they say "Gather XXX times". It does not matter how many of a thing you pull up, it is still one gather. The only thing that will help you for this achievement is the +1 gathering attempt ability.

The ward abilities do work for crystals once you learn the appropriate trait (lv41), and it is extended to clusters with another trait (lv50).

I hope you do realize that the stats, aside from a laughable "Durability Loss -10", are identical on the Luminary vs the lv50 quested tool. Either you're dedicated to the Luminary and this little speed bump shouldn't bother you in the grand scheme of things, or you shouldn't even be trying for it at all. It took me nearly a month to earn my Luminary back in 1.0.

Thank you for the tip about the Ward abilities. I guess I thought the Luminary weapons were sort of the "relic" tools for DoH and DoL, that's why I'm going after them. I didn't think there were other lv50 tools to be quested to be honest. I'll look them up now, thanks.

Yeah, it's the reward from the lv50 class quest. For DoL, it's hilariously easy.

More annoying fact (at least for me as mainly crafter & gatherer) is that NQ mats (e.g. ALL the shards / crystals / clusters) and crafts (mainly dyes and any other non-HQ-able recipies) are NOT producing any FC credits - only HQ gathered mats and crafted products does (measly +12 credits though anyway) so leveling the (almost) purelly crafter / gatherer based FCs is a major PITA in this game :(
