If you only go for Scholar, forget about INT.
But if you want to level a SMN as well, you'll have to decide how to balance between the two jobs.
Forget about INT as SCH. One of your cross-class abilities is Cleric Stance, which will swap your MND and INT stats, and give you a damage boost.
There's no reason to spec into any INT at all as SCH.
Pump all of it into VIT. That way when you are gearing for Turn5 you wont have to bother getting melded accessories at all and can use actual healer rings and stuff.
Eep! Such various responses. So (me being a completionist) I will eventually want both Scholar and Summoner...even though these are two separate classes, they share the same bonus points, thus making me decide!? What? Seems a little crazy.
Put all stats into mind, especially if going both smn/sch. 30 mind is more valuable in heals than 30 int will be for dps, considering you will also have the arcanist traits that grant bonus int. You will be fine completing any smn content like this up to titan, but should stay out of coil unless you respec for int.
Okay! Awesome! Many thanks for the helpful replies :)
Whm, there is no need for and INT at all. Cleric stance makes that pointless. With smn/sch. you may want to split 50/50. This will make acn sort of a hybrid class that is good at both but best at neither. You might want to consider crafted gear, since you can vary your stats with materia. They will both end up with separate gearsets anyway.
SCH and WHM are both MND.
If you plan on playing SCH/SMN evenly, I would recommend going 30points into the attribute related to the one you are going to be using in coil mainly. Outside of coil, attributes don't matter very much, and they mean extremely little, especially for a healer, when you are in full ilvl90.
For SCH, the lack of things like Cure II, Cure III, Free Cure et al, for me, makes it feel very important to put all points into MND.
Due to SCH Succor having damage mitigation directly equaling amount healed, every point helps.
