Racial Stats
I'm not really "new" as I've played since launch but I was really curious about this.
The racial stat differences, do they make a huge impact or are they something you shouldn't even think about?
I went Seeker of the Sun and apparently they have weak caster stats (I'm currently leveling a black mage) will this be a problem?
For example.
Seeker of the Sun starts with 18 INT
Dusk Elezen starts with 23 INT
That's a +5 difference, I'm assuming at 50 when our stats are in the hundreds it shouldn't really matter but if you take a seeker and a duskwight, give them the exact same gear.. wouldn't the elezen hit harder?

5 INT won't make much difference at all so don't worry about it, just play and enjoy the race you like.

You'd probably feel the difference at low levels. Even so, it'd be a small difference. In the end, your player skill more than makes up for that 5-stat difference, anyway.
A dead healer heals no one, and a dead dps does zero dmg.

The theoretical difference is small enough to be obliterated by any one of a dozen actual circumstances. Get randomly targeted by one less AOE that needs to be avoided than the next guy, and you've more than made up the difference with a single cast you don't have to interrupt.

Racial Stats are just a way to differentiate between them and serious min/maxers will care, but it really doesn't matter. Play what you like, no one cares about the race of the class as long as they are competent, although I always giggle a little whenever I see a fully decked out Roegdayn caster or Lalafell tanks.
