DPS Meter

Anyone knows if it exist? A addon that shows how much dps is doing each member of your group??? Like they were in WoW or other games

FFXIV Parsers.

The best one out there is FFxiv App. It has real time overlays and damage breakdowns.

I hope they don't cause the troubles that happened in WoW with things like recount being posted in fights that didn't matter. People complaining and calling people noobs for their dps in fights with the holiday bosses really pushed me away from that game.

It kind of helps. You notice when people really aren't pulling their weight or playing poorly. Like when you play with 1 Monk (or DRG) who simply stomps you in DPS then play with another different Monk (or DRG), respectively, who you blow out of the water with the same gear.

Yes, it was annoying. Everyone posting their numbers after a dungeon so they can measure their e-peens. It was stupid.

DPS Meters are nice when you want to test certain gears, or test your class in general. Test how well you do in dungeons compared to other classes or other people using the same class.

Sure, bragging gets annoying but they'd just find something else to brag about.

I don't know what you're talking about. I check my numbers after every fight; who needs to wait for the end of a dungeon?

I think he was talking about the kind of people who were linking the recount in the chat after every single fight when they were ahead (of course). Kinda annoying especially in low level when classes are not balanced at all.

I primarily Tank on PS3, and I can sometimes sort of tell who is doing a lot of damage from the Aggro meters, but it's not reliable. I would LOVE to see the game show a DPS meter or something next to everyone's name in your party.

You guys can hold me accountable for how well I hold Aggro and how long I live, etc, but it is a lot more difficult for me to see if you all are maximizing your potential. I play a BLM on a speedster char as well, and I would love to see my DPS displayed. I feel like it would promote optimization through transparency. Of course some people will be dicks about it, but some people are going to be dicks about everything ever.
