I ran through Sastasha as a BLM and none of my gear gained any spiritbond. My Vintage Cudgel, for example, stayed at 1% spiritbond throughout the dungeon. I entered said dungeon through the random low level duty finder. No Free company spirit bond buff was in effect. I also had A patriot choker, bracelet, and Meteor Ring to assist with spirit bond.
I think items affected by level sync cannot be spirit-bound. Although I could be wrong.
If the level of mob you're killing is way to bellow your gear level it will not gain any spirit bond, the same for crafting and gathering.
