A way to help crafters and make some "adventuring" less tedious?

Just a random idea I had...

What if, for example, you were one of those people farming Ifrit for the seven thousandth time looking for your <insert Ifrit weapon here> for your job and no luck. What if everyone who doesn't receive a loot drop from Ifrit gets a certain item. These items would be untradable but let's say after obtaining X number of said item, I could bring them to the crafting class that creates my base weapon for relic and they could forge a weapon for me of similar stat/quality to Ifrit's weapon for my class.


I would go about obtaining this service much like I would getting an item melded, right click and request an item be crafted. You'd have to be 50 in said class, so if I were a 50 warrior and saw a blacksmith and requested a craft with my X number of Iffy bits, he would get a request to make an Axe. Failure, of course is a danger, but the chance of getting my weapon after a few attempts via crafting is better than doing the fight another 10, 20, 30 times without... right?

This could, of course, go for the other primals too. I don't think it's game breaking as the materials and their products would still be unsellable, you still have to do the fight to earn the items just... not have to suffer the trolls of the RNG quite so badly.

I dunno... Just a random thought. What do you guys think?

That actually sounds like a good idea. It shouldn't be as powerful as the primal weapon though, should be high enough to an upgrade, but low enough that you still want the real one.

We already have those weapons, they have iLvl 70 and are craftable since day one.
You even obtain the materials in the same way you describe, doing dungeons and primals.

Or do I miss something?
