Any WARs MTing Turn 4? Advise Needed.

This goes to any warriors who have managed to MT turn 4. My last 2 attempts have resulted in failure at the hands of the Dreadnought in phase 3 with 4 stacks. My hp seems to drop immediately from the first attack and there isn't much time to get recovered back up. I'm currently sitting on 8.4k HP in that fight.
My question is, how do you guys open up that phase? Which I would imagine is the hardest MT phase.
Also, has there been any WARs who have solo tanked this??

Save all defensive cooldowns for that phase and stagger them, starting with Thrill of Battle or Vengeance as soon as he's done eating bugs.. Between 3x Inner Beast (2 occurring naturaly, 1 from Infuriate), Thrill of Battle and Vengeance, that's 50+ seconds worth of your major cooldowns.

Establishing aggro early with Berserk + Butcher's Block combo lets you safely alternate between that and your Storm's Path combo.

An early Virus helps too. I think this transition should be no problem as a Warrior in your gear, even without cooldowns. It sounds like a healing issue to me.

Hmm. Not until he is finished eating the bugs. It really doesn't matter what order you do your major defensive buffs in, as long as you use them and try not to overlap them too much. Make sure people use Eye for an Eye and Virus.

I tank him in the SE position, I believe he sits a little East of the fight starting terminal (I forget I usually just do it now lol). My adds die first where the Dread drops, so I get a few hits in and prepare a comboed BB to land when he drops. The healers will be stacked on back of Dread, so you won't get hit with more then one melee attack before he eats the bugs. While he is eating them (and make sure he eats all of them), I run ahead to the SE position (I've prob hit him with a Heavy Swing > SS before the move), and he'll be following close behind but not hitting me. By the time he reaches me, it is a guaranteed Rotoswipe, so this spot is a good one for Vengeance.

I will be in position already and popping vengeance before he does the swing. This gets the healers some room as they'll be moving with me somewhat as well, and is the most dangerous part of the fight (for phase 3). When the Dread is positioned there should next to no health on the second group of Knight/Soldier and healers can focus you on Dread. While it is somewhat dangerous in spike, you have two healers focusing you, and should be keeping you topped off. While it is the hardest hitting part of the fight for us, without any mechanics to worry about and double healers it is one I find needs less CDs from the tank. Keep popping IB when you know Rotoswipe is coming (he melees 3 times inbetween each Rotoswipe, but almost always stacks Rotoswipe with an autoattack if you move him like I do). Foresight is good to use here, ToB/Convalescence on a Rotoswipe if healers are falling a bit behind. You should have most your CDs up for Phase 5 Dread, and definitely for Phase 6.

Keep in mind each Coil group has different strategies and setups that fit them best. Just think about your timing and where people are struggling, and adjust CDs to fit your group. All the other things are icing on the cake (eye4eye, virus, adloq before Rotoswipe).

Yeah, it took me a little bit to get the feel of defensive's down.

My guild tanks that first one in the NW corner where it spawns, I think I probably died 4 times before I got defensives and such to a point they worked well for my group (2 SCH for healers) I would have 5 wrath still up from the previous wave which would let me get a BB off then pop IB right away; I have to say I don't use berserk at this time myself. but after the BB I go for Storm's Path right away and maintain it. Since threat is a non issue for me I do BB>SP so there is no fall off time (you clip a few seconds doing BB>BB>SP) but since the threat difference doesn't matter to me or my group, survivability>dmg at that point since the DPS should be able to drop him.



I usually start the fight off with foresight with IB popped on it since it sucks as a cd but together why not, using IB every 5 stacks, or if I know the swipe is coming I save it for that, which I dont have the timing down 100% for it but it feels like 20 seconds? maybe a little more. next time I am in there I will count to see how long between. Veng I usually use once foresight is about to fall off, and usually when it will give me a wrath stack. You really just have to juggle it till you find what kind of cooldown rotation works with the healers you have, its a little tricky but I would rather be a WAR than a PLD any day (Don't forget holmgang, if you have timing on the swipe and are below 6k hp holmgang will save your life!)

Thanks for the feedback guys, Like bokchoykn said though, this might be a healer issue, I think the healers are focused on keeping the OT alive from his add and they forget about me. I'm going to Opt out to start the fight with Vengeance since it seems the safer route.
