None-dots are 100% if you are using ACT or LOGREP, XIV-APP is notoriously bad.
Dots are estimated as they dont show up in the log. Between ACT and LOGREP I prefer ACT's dot estimation. Through manual parsing it provides numbers closest to the actual result.
Theoretically you could compare to the SE damage calculations using PvP to determine accuracy, as it shows the damage output from each player at the end.
