Stat cap for crafting

Hi everybody !

I maximize my armorer stuff with materia , and there a cap at 347 craftmanship and 318 contrôle for crafting 2star lvl 70 stuff .

my question is :

When i get these cap , must i continue up these stat or must i put the rest in CP ?
Is it useful to put more in craftmanship and control ?

I think Craftsmanship is only useful to a point for most recipes.

You can have more Control than 318 and it will increase the Quality of your Touch actions, e.g. increase your Control to 360+ with materia and food.

What makes you think Craftsmanship caps at 347? I believe I need mine to have 359 for me to be able to do my 2 star 100%HQ with NQ items in 18 steps.

That is just the minimum. I can for sure tell you if I do not get exactly 51 progress in a single Careful Synthesis II(which I cannot achieve with only 347 craftsmanship), it will not be enough craftsmanship for me to complete my 18 step rotation. To Atanos: My rotation requires 341 CP exactly.

To the point of the Craftsmanship cap.. many will argue what their cap is for their specific rotation. I can just confirm that it is not what is written on recipe, that is just minimum to even attempt it. You just need to find your sweet spot of control/craftsmanship to HQ items using NQ mats in the fewest amount of steps from the available abilities you have. Mine is 18.. if anyone knows how it can be done in fewer steps.. please let me know!
