Dragoon or Monk?
The ongoing question.
I have leveled a Paladin to Level 50 and have slowly been gearing Paladin but I also want to try my hand at being DPS. I am trying to figure out what bests suits my play style and what groups would prefer the most either a Dragoon or a Monk.
I kind of like how Dragoon seems like Samurai class to me from FFXI. Maybe I'm just acting crazy for it. Monk seems like a Nice solo class and can take a beating.
So tough to choose....

Dragoons look so Freaking Cool.

Both got buffed in 2.1 which was a good thing! Although I think they may have slightly over buffed MNK instead of DRG. Both jobs played well can be a real asset to your party but a lot of Coil parties will favour a MNK over a DRG. This may change.
Why not try them both out (since they share early level gear) and see which one you prefer?

Well I have MNK(PUG) at level 26 and DRG(LNC) at level 20. I like both.......
I feel if they do every make Samurai from FFXI come over to FFXIV then it would come from a Mix between these two classes.

If you like keeping pressure scoring big numbers on enemies, and keeping up in aoe, dragoon. If you like unleashing a flurry of attacks that will melt single targets and constant movement, monk. I main a 50 dragoon and it has been a blast jumping around the place.

To me my opinion, playing mnk and drg requires an aggressive player, once u figured out the rotation of course. That's pretty much how I play my. Aggressive going from flank to rear, rear to flank. Our job is pretty much balance it just depends on YOU as a player on hOw you want to play the best dpS in game( my opinion).

yeah you gotta be brave and sometimes you will be clinching ur rear about someof the damage you take. MNK will be better defensively, im sure, but DRG is far cooler looking and doesnt wear yellow pajamas. JUST SAYIN

Go with your gut feeling. And ur gut is telling you dragoon.
The gut is always right. LOL haha ^_^

If u have tissue, then u rdy for DRG :)
Ahh j/k, but diffrent playstyle and both bring alot to tabel.
Not sure, but i think DRG is a better off tank than mnk. For T 4 both are fine, but in future fights maybe!?

Drg is low big numbers and Mnk is fast little numbers.
They play very different so best bet is to play both and see what you like.
