Frustration with Company Chest log

Gah! We have a Free Company where a lot goes in and out. Especially because at least 2 people in the group have alts who can't send stuff to each other.

I have now lost the log of what gil was being donated for our Free Company Housing because the freaking log does not go back far. I would have minded if I had realised it was limited in the first freaking place but there was nothing to indicate that.

Why do you always have to have to do these things ALMOST right but not quite? I need to be able to see who deposited what gil or at the very freaking least to know that the log would not be available in the future... So that the officers could have recorded things. We have a snapshot from a few days ago but we're about a week out and we've had almost 1mil in donations.

Is there any way I can recover our log?

If people wanted to be really crappy they could just spam the log with taking things in and out. We have our security settings just fine but this is just horrible.

I think it would be good to be able to have a Gil Log and an Item Log.

Only because I feared this would happen is keep track of those who have invested gil toward the FC housing in a GoogleDocs spreadsheet. Unfortunately if some spring cleaning/chest shuffling goes on and like you says, folks transferring items to their alts occurs, this could knock donations off the list before I can track it. So there are some funds unaccounted for and I've started to date the GDocs.
