Conjurer: Swift Cast
So I'm now beginning to lvl Conjurer as my 2nd class, and it really takes a lot longer compared to my first class, so all I want to know is, can White Mage/Conjurers do without major cross class abilities such as Swiftcast, Eye for an Eye, etc. ?
I really don't want to be bothered to lvl up another class to a certain lvl because its becoming really long just to lvl this one.
So is it necessary for say if I want to do repeated runs of Wanderer's Palace for example?

I believr swiftcast offers so much utility it is almost 'necessary'.

Swiftcast is very useful for WHM to use, especially in the likely event somebody just died or is about to die in any kind of run. Swiftcast -> Revive will get them back on their feet almost instantly if dead, and Swiftcast -> Cure III is a very nice panic button combo for keeping the party alive in certain instances (Ultima HM anyone?). But just for WP, no, Swiftcast will not be necessary most of the time, though the 2nd boss may warrant it being used.

I am a terrible WHM who can't be bothered to level another class to 26 just yet. I've been doing without swiftcast all the while, including through Titan HM and now Ultima HM.
Here's the way I see it: a good group will not need a rez. A swiftcast will give you one more Oh-NO button whether it be for healing, or as largely intended, for a rez. But with a 3m timer, I am not in any hurry to worry about it. Chances are, if your group needs 1 rez, they'll need a few more. Might as well learn how to rez regularly since you will likely be doing that most of the time anyway.
That isn't to say don't get swiftcast. Doing so is completely ridiculous since it's a free perk. But, as a WHM who is still tooooooo lazy to level another class to halfway just for one spell, and who has done Titan HM several times, all the new dungeons, and some of the other new content, don't fret about it just yet. You'll be fine as long as you know what you're doing with your class in general.
But, still, get it as soon as you can be bothered to grind out another class. Especially if you're going to PVP. It is pretty much mandatory for PVP.

Alright thanks for the swift answers guys! Guess I'll try to see how I do without Swiftcast first, if I really feel like I need it after a couple of runs, I'll mostly likely force myself to get it.

Since you said you'll be primarily be doing WP (repeated runs = SR?), swiftcast will help immensely if you ever decide to chip in with some holy DPS. If swiftcasted it'll push out the stun asap giving you time to queue more holy spam without the tank dropping instantly if casted normally (~2.90ish cast time + skill delay).

i only got swiftcast for t5 since people were shocked when i didnt have it, still dont think it is vital. However yes it does give an edge. As for eye, you dont need it either \, like swift it will help, i am only getting it now, even though i completed the game already. My advise is if your with a static to talk to them about that, and what is their position on it, however they will probably want you to get it. Also depending on your skill level, and the people you play with cause the game isnt hard, and you certainly can go without it.

Swiftcast should be mandatory for healers, it is really useful skill

The amount of utility that swift cast offers is insane. More so than any other cross class ability, this is the one you're going to want to have. On a 60 second cooldown, there's no reason not to use it every single pull, and it gives white Mage a little more strength when it comes to mobile heals, where it's sorely lacking outside of regen
