So.. I can never seem to get this thing to pop. Feels like I've wasted hours grinding fates in E. Shroud to get it to go... working as intended? Does anyone actually do this, or are we all just abandoning this when it pops on the beast quest queue?

I used too, until having to do the same quest each and every day and wait an eternity for the Fate to freaking pop, I just gave up. I can't even bear to do it with friends anymore. It's that bad.
Did it three times. I get the item then use it whenever the daily is avaliable.
But, I've been doing FATEs in that area to level archer, so I dont just stand there waiting.
Yeah I did and got the item and didnt even have the quest. So its there in my inventory taking space.
I just level a craft while I wait and it usually doesn't take long to pop.
I just go to the place the FATE would pop up, call my Chocobo and kill every Sylph around me to level my Chocobo until the FATE pop up.
It is much better than just only waiting and standing around.
I did it once. Waited like 1 hour before it poped, and some people farming it to prevent farm abuse in the future said they were waiting for 2+ hours before I came.
These dailies need the same fix as SE did for CT/hildibrand fates : one every 30 mins or less
There was one day that the fate took over one hour and a half to spawn, they need to stop putting those fates in quests or really increase re spawn rate by a lot.
Good feedback -- glad to see I'm not alone. It sounds like the only people that are benefiting from this are those already in the area leveling.. which seems a bit odd for a daily quest everyone (even level 50s) need to do. Even more odd considering so few people would ever fate grind in east shroud... I tried it once, it was terrible. South Shroud and Costa have always proved much more time effective for the late-20's-early-30's level range East Shroud fates seem to (mostly) cover.
So.. it's either fate in the area until you get a stockpile of the item, or wait an hour for the fate to pop. Seems like a bit too large of a time sink for a daily quest.
