The Ten things you would like to see added to FFXIV asap

I really don't think someone made this thread. if they do, please point it out!

Anyway, just wanted to see what are the ten things they want in one place, heh, so here's my thoughts, it's in no specific order really, and it's just my opinion.

So here's my personal thoughts on what I'd like to see.

1. Chocobo

Yes, I'm gonna say it, I know it's going to be added eventually, but this is the sort of thing I'd like to be added soon. While I believe we should keep the anima system. (Face it, people will run out of that shit FAST), The chocobo system will allow people to get around MUCH easier, and makes anima draining much less problematic.

2. Arena style leves

Much like the BCNM in FFXI. I always thought it was fun, and I think the leve system would be a perfect way to handle this. For those that don't know how it is handled, it's basically an arena styled fight (not dungeon). It would require a group, and therefore, it should not be soloable, and these should be challenging, with with multiple rewards, some very valuable at the end. I've always thought that this was fun to do in FFXI.

3. Final Fantasy Tactics style to obtain advanced classes.

I've seen a lot of people suggest this, and I think it would be a very nifty idea. For example, to get Musketeer, you'll need to level Archer and, for the hell of it, conjury, to let's say, 25 and 20 respectively, or something like that. This could apply to every other future advanced jobs. they shouldn't be totally difficult to get, but it should be just enough to make it feel like the reward is worth it.

4. Hair Salon, barbershop, etc.

I know this was talked about during the beta phase, and early part of the game, but now, it's been dead quiet. I've not heard a word about it from the new development team, so I feel that this merit a spot in my ten things. the idea of barbershop is to change your appearance. Not just hair, maybe facial features, like markings, etc.

Allowing people to change their appearance from time to time would make the game seem...new, less repetitive. It would make their characters look more dynamic. I had a terrible, terrible time making up my mind when I first made my character, but one thing I hoped for is to change my hair style because hell, I liked a lot of miqote hairstyle along with what elezens have, as well as hyurs. Also, I'd like to see other races using hairstyle from, well, other races.

5. More Beastmen race

Trying very hard not to turn this into another 'Things I want to see from FFXI', but the presence of Amalj'aa merits this point. There needs to be more beastmen race. It is a great conflict tool that has been used in the past and I feel that it's definitely worth doing here. We got goblins now, along with Amalj'aa and I'm sure the sylphs, fairy, thing, would count but yeah.

6. Make zones (in general) more interesting

The zones are HUGE, they are seemingly endless, but they're so bland. Thanalan is just nothing but an endless desert wasteland (and I'm sure that's the idea there). I'd like to see more landmarks, more structures. Ancient ruins, or signs of battles, etc. Maybe even make the villages, hamlets, etc bigger.

Basically, give these land something that makes Point A, Point B and Point C different. La Noscea had a few of those..watch towers. That's a good start there. Hell, anything could work, a derelict housing, a torn wall, etc. bottomline, make it so that the land looks a lot less, repeated and more like, actual different part of the zones.

7. Limit Breaks

Almost every FF games in the past has a form of it, why shouldn't FFXIV have it. Personally, I have no idea how it should be implemented at this time, but my main issue is that, to me, limit breaks are actions that are basically 'desperate time, desperate measures' situation. The option is there, but you don't want to waste it unless you're in trouble, and it could make or break the situation.

Basically, I want an ability that may get me out of an 'Oh crap!' situation, and it should be strictly class specific (IE can't be used by other classes), should be powerful, but rarely used. 2hr was the right idea in FFXI, but I feel it could do something better than that.

....and I ran out of ideas at this time! But yeah, that's the gist of it, maybe I'll add my other 3 idea, but basically, this is ten things you want to see in this game, period.

2. FFT style unlockable jobs. Include a series of quests.
3. Skillchains from FFXI
4. Something similar to 2 hours. An ultimate move with a long cooldown or very situational requirements.
5. Better transportation
6. Improved combat and spell animations
7. Corsair
8. Gardening
9. Mog House
10. Hair salon as you said. Give me new hair options with upcoming updates.

3. NMs not level 50+ -- I'd like to occasionally hit a "boss" type character in my leves that I can handle alone.
4. Small, interesting map features that have interiors and NPCs with quests
5. More underwear. Don't judge
6. More beautiful battle animations
7. FFT style unlockable jobs
8. A mine or dungeon not 40+, tired of getting destroyed by a random bug when I'm trying to do Leves at my level
9. Jumping so I don't have to run around a mountain to get to a Leve objective
10. Elimination of "fleeing" mobs during levequests

1. Companies - This includes company events, Company halls, and company crafting

2. Housing - attached to company halls picture the hall (large mansion almost castle like surrounded by company members housing). Fully decorate-able with gardening. Also would like to see useful NPCs in these areas.

3. dungeons - instanced.

4. AF armor - self explanatory

5. Chocobos - complete with breeding and mini games

6. Airships - enough said

7. Ishgard - {Can I have it}

8. More classes - FFXI ones and new ones unlocked with a quest that is unlocked with certain classes reaching rank 25 or 35.

9. Hamlet - not sure what it is but sounds fun

10. Airship in Mor'Dohna having some use.

(A Behest with a purpose!)

'Nation of Allegiance'
(Favour/respect/fame/rank for your city, with FFXI style missions/quests)

'Ishgard'
(We wont get Airships without this city, need to open 'Port Jeuno')

'Chocobos and Carriages'
(Those carriages could be used to move groups to far away camps or hamlets)

'New Classes'
(Mystic, Shepard, Fencer, Enforcer, Arcanist, Musketeer, Samurai, Stavesman, Assassin, Flayer and Bard)

'Rank Up'
(Hmm, 55? 60? 65? 70? 75!?)

'More Zones'
(Need a zone between Thanalan and The Black Shroud at least. An 'Ifrit's Cauldron' type zone north of La Nosca)

• I'm ok having the battle regiment style skillchains, but they need to have more cominations, not all basic skills to basic skills go defense down, I would like to see various combinations do various things including increase damage
• Quest with rewards we want, we wanted a second retainer, why not make us quest it?
• Bestman areas, it seemed like in 11 there were places that even at cap were hard to get to
