Curious, are we going to get a Steam Key for those of us who use steam? I wasn't sure if we would or not unless we have to re-purchase which I refuse to do of course, but if there is any way we could get this info that would be great!

It depends on Square Enix. They could set up a system where we enter our key and get a Steam key for free or they'll make us re-purchase the game.
My guess is on the latter and the reason I say this is for 2 reasons:
1. Other MMO's such as Rift, DC, etc. had you repurchase the game.
2. I haven't seen a free Steam copy being given away by devs unless they are converting their game to Steamworks. Example: Games for Windows LIVE is shutting down so the Arkham devs switched over to Steamworks and gave free Steam GOTY editions to current customers.
I think the Steam version will come with its own bonuses (minions, mounts, etc.) as well. But I guess we'll see what happens. Would be nice to allow current customers a free Steam download.
Sorry for being out of the loop, apparently, but I didn't realize ARR was coming to Steam! Very cool.
Was there any kind of ETA given for when this will happen?
Hopefully there won't be. We've already paid enough for stupid trinkets.
Yeah, been doing this since day one however it'd be nice to use the official one to track hours. The hours tracked for Steam games actually shows on your profile and games list, where as if it's outside the Steam client (like it is now), there's no time ticking to tell you how long you've played.
Thankfully I've been using Raptr since day one so I know I have about 700 hours into the game so far, but I can't port that over for when Steam's version comes out because I can put my favorite game as FFXIV and have the time showing under my profile with the addition of the Steam-Level System.
