Chat log questions

I played FFXI for years, and twards the end of my ffxi career I used windower. I used it for the quality of life upgrades, such as the ability to hide stuff from chat. For example: If I had a macro that was

/ma "Cure V" <t>
/ma "Cure V" <lt>

It would heal either who I had currently targeted, or who I last targeted. I would get an error message in the log for the line that failed, either because the first line worked so I was sending commands too fast, or I would get the message for the first failing because I wasn't currently targeting. One of the plugins would disable that error message from popping up.

I'm wondering if there is a way to filter out error messages, without losing out on other messages like "your tell was not recieved". I am also interested if there is a way to back up logs to my hard drive.

I found some logs in my ffxiv folder, but they are mostly gibberish with some readable bits.
