Stuck after "start"

Since the update this morning I haven't been able to play the game. I login, and click "start" which leads to some sort of blank loading screen which loops indefinitely. I've tried reinstalling FFXIV twice and left it on for 2 hours. No progress. What's weird is that it works fine on my brothers PC perfectly, which has the same specs and is on the same wired network as me. One thing to note is that I reinstalled Windows 8.1 before reinstalling FFXIV. Anyways to get passed this? Thanks in advanced!

my mate got the same problem, he bought ffxiv yesterday installed it and nothing, he choose the server and after pressing start he have a loading screen which dont stop.
It would be very nice if someone have s Solution.
