Relic quest does not appear

I reached 50 with white Mage today. Having previously completed the relic quest for my main class, I visited gerolt, only to find that the quest start marker isn't there. Interacting with him engages in "small talk." I'm not currently in relic quest for another class. I've abandoned all of my current quests, zoned out and back in, relogged, changed classes, unequipped and re-equipped job crystal. I'm at a loss

um...did you finish all the main quest?

Yes. I ready have two relics, so the quest should appear at gerolt. But no dice

No longer an issue. Forgot completing class quests is part of the prerequisite. The quest now appears as normal
