Roulette rewards

I have been playing the roulettes non stop. In an 8 hour period you are able to get about 3,000 gil and if your lucky 1000 seals. This seams a little unfair given the price of items in game, and the cost of grand company items. You can farm fates and get 2,000 seals in an hour. Please balance this system. I play for the dungeons, and not being adequately rewarded for taking new players that do not know their class or role is quite unfair. To take a tank like a paladin who does not use flash through a dungeon is painful, or taking a conjurer in cleric stance healing for a tank......etc. other mmorpg's have figured a balance. It would be nice if square enix could do the same. At the current rate I will be 50 and hardly have any gil to operate, and not enough seals to move up in rank to purchase lvl 50 items. Clear your hunting logs for seals, it's faster than anything else. Turn in dungeon loot for seals, if your not going to be using it yourself of course. You can't base your rewards purely on the payout at the end of a run, you need to look at all the loot you get along the way too. You can sell some of the drops, trade some for seals, and overall the rewards are then better than fates.

As for running with new players that don't know what they're doing, or how to do it well, I hope that when they do these broken things you advise them as to the "right" way to play their role. I know not everyone listens, and believe me I've experienced my share of the "STFup I know how to do my job, learn to do yours." 3 year old's attitudes thrown at me. It's the ... joy ... of DF/Roulette.

By 50 gil is actually less of a concern than one might think, Tomes for most of your gear, Seals will be something that you will find yourself not caring about very much but getting in spades, Gil is more than anything a matter of repairs and getting food.

I disagree whole heartedly about the seals. I noticed today was tank gets reward for completion of duty or dungeon. I went to queue as tank there was a 20 minute wait. This is extremely excessive. I queued as a healer, and instantly ready. I queued as dps, and it was ready in less than 5 minutes. The rewards need to be spread evenly or removed, as it is not helping to make FFXIV a better place. As far as seals rewarded I find it to be ridiculous that by the time you have earned seals to be corporal, which is.when you may trade gear for seals, and have enough seals to purchase level 30 gear you would already have 4 level 30's or a 50. I know from experience as I have 4 level 30's 2 15's for white mage and warrior. I progressed the storyline to lvl 30 for dungeon unlocks, but have done no other quests. I spent 90% of my time in duty finder. This has landed me a whopping 7000 seals only. This definitely needs to be addressed.

In response to gold I agree with you. I investigated a little further to find a reward of 25 gil at level 10 55 at level 30. The duty rewards are way too low. At level 10 i earned 25 gil. The repair bill was 12 so i only profited 13. How many runs would I have to make to be able to afford a potion? What if your group has a horrible tank healer or dps that causes you to wipe multiple times and now your repair bill is 30? Why should any higher level player join a group of low players just to loose gold? I wont even get into the prices of teleport, and how some quests require you to travel across the globe. That is one more thing that costs gil that cannot be afforded. Whats my other choice? Buy gil with real money from one of these spammers in game? I will never do this for fear of being hacked.....( and because its wrong )...devs watching....errr... Lol seriously please rebalance. Thanks

I think the rewards are fine. As a level 50 going into Low and High Roulettes I have made a ~20k profit over ~5 runs. That's just with the Duty Roulette. This is a massive boost for barely being able to break even doing a dungeon run on anything other than AK/WP.

And it's not like the seals matter anyway... Very little of value in there to worry about.

You have to realize here that the "reward" for taking an "in demand" job to a dungeon is so incredibly trivial you might as well not take it at all. The only bonus you get is a 50% gil bonus on completion, not even during the dungeon. Which roughly means that if you finish Castrum Meridium for instance, you get 1500 gil off the boss, and an extra 750 gil on top of that for being either Tank or Healer if that job was in demand.

Those amounts of gil would have been fine, were it not for the massive amounts of balant hacking and exploits that were used to generate billions in the first week alone that ruined the economy ever since.

Not to hang on to 1.0 times, but gil rewards used to be 10x this. They cut everyone's gil (and all the quest payouts) by 9/10th so it would make things more fair. Which is a nice concept, were it not that the amount of gil introduced in the first week from above mentioned exploits made any and all quest/dungeon reward seem trivial and not worth it at all.
