A better loot lockout system: For Coil, Crystal Tower and Going Forwards

Loot/dungeon lockout is just a reality for players to deal with. Players always want the best as fast as possible, but it's simply not possible for developers to keep up with the insatiable demand of players. So they implement lockout systems to stop players from making the content obsolete too quickly. Fair enough.

But the way it's done right now is quite bad.

For Coils, to optimize your progress, you have to go through each turn, step by step. And once you go up, you can't go back and help your friends. So you get a community mismatch; You can have 500 FC members, but you're best off doing a static if you want progression.

For Crystal Tower, you get one piece for the week and you're done. This leads to many players passing on loot that they put at a lower priority, and just a general waste. Also, very little incentive to go back once you got your piece for the week.

Solution:

Instead of dropping gear, have chests drop class/slot tokens. Player can only cash in one token a week, and tokens expire at weekly reset.
This means, you can run coil and CT multiple times a week, get multiple token drops a week - improving your chance of getting the exact piece you want... but also means that the developers can implement the loot lockout system they want, to prevent players from running out of content too quickly.

Added Bonus:

Loot rolling system improvements.

Loot system should be more tolerant towards player error in rolling and passing.

Allow them to check and uncheck need/greed/pass as required. When everyone has checked, dialogue should pop up confirming player decision.

There's plenty of times when player miscommunication can end up in good useful loot been trashed; especially in the case of players passing on 'need' stuff, because they already have something better, while another player with alt for the loot passes out of habit.

Nice idea; it's been suggested a bunch of times, but hopefully they'll eventually listen. Also, you can edit posts to get around the character limit (I don't know why people still don't know this).

honestly what needs to change is just the need getting disabled upon getting a piece of loot(even one won with greed)

I ran 3 crystal towers today and out of the 12 pieces of loot only 3 were even taken at all since everyone is forced to abandon everything but the one thing they're after.
I mean it's not even really best in slot gear or anything, it's just basically "get you geared up for coil/extreme primals" stuff so why put such a slowdown on it?

The only suggestion I can add is if everyone passes then the item should immediately auto loot to a random person and it doesn't count against their lock out.

I hate seeing loot go to waste and CT is turning into the Island of Misfit Toys with the way armor is destroyed constantly.

This may also stop people from getting their one piece and pretty much saying "See you, suckers!" Since they will have the possibility of random gear. May not be the job they want to gear but at least it's something on the side to keep them going.
