Gear tab!
Even with the increase of inventory slots to 100, there are still problems of having too much stuff and not enough slots to carry it. Well over half of my inventory slots go to gear, weapons, and tools. Yes, I could put the tools away when I'm doing leves. Yes, I could put whatever job gear I'm not using in the retainer while I play. But, if I don't have my tools, I can't repair my gear if I need to without going back to town. And if I need to change jobs for a leve which offers me marks that I want, I would have to go back to town to get that stuff for it.
What I'd love to see is a Gear tab in inventory. This could be slot limited if need be, but it would seriously help free up the problems with having not enough space, particularly for crafters.

I agree, my inventory is constantly filling up mainly b/c so many of my slots are full with gear making it difficult to farm and causing me to stop what im doing and rearrange, or throw out some of the stuff from inventory entirely too often.

well to be honest gear you are wearing should not take up inventory space, and I'm sure they do have plans to add items to add more space in the future I mean we still have that pack slot.

Why can't we have a gear for each class we level? Having a this small inventory and being able to play so many classes at the same time is contradictory. What's the point of being able to play everything at once if you have to go back to your retainer for half your class changes? The only really point I can see would be to incite players not to change classes too often.... which is certainly not the current orientation of the game, right?
A dedicated gear panels would be a nice improvement, but would not suit the current class system. Having multiple gear panels (relative to the number of class level to a certain rank?) and the ability to switch of panel when switching of class would feel really adequate here.

I would absolutely love this. It would also add to being able to organise your inventory much better.

An interesting idea, I'd like to see the theories as to how it should work and if any compromise should be made to standard inventory space.

I'd like to see something like this, a separate inventory for gear.
Currently half of my inventory is gear.
