Same with me... Im so frustrated now.
PC specs.
i7 Q720M , 2x GTX 285M sli, 8 gb ddr3 RAM, SSD os (ffxiv installed) disk.
Tried EVERYTHING. Sli activated, sli deavtivated, PhysicX on GPU or CPU or Disabled. TRied drivers from 2010 up til the neest one. NOTHING WORKS????? And it was fine b4 patch 2.1.. What did you do SquareEnix?????????
Also tried win 8, win 8.1 and win 7 nothng helps.. Black screen of DEATH!!! and blue screen sometimes!!
I've had it happen randomly about 5 times since 2.1 launched. Never happened previously. When trying to Teleport or when I am close to running through a zone line the game will just throw an error message and clicking OK causes the game client to close fully. If it happens again I will paste what the error message is. I am not sure if it's some bug with preloading the next zone maybe? Just a guess.
Hi all,
I have been having this problem even before 2.1 where it randomly blank the screen for 4-5 seconds and reverts back with extremely bad frame rate. This have escalated to worse scenario pro-2.1 - it reboots the computer after 15 minutes or so.
One thing I noticed browsing other forums is that FFXIV does not sit well with overclocking and I have been disabling my overclocks to play FFXIV.
I am currently on NVIDIA driver 314.22 ( I have tried a lot of other versions after that - same problem if I start OC-ing ) and it seems to have solved my problem. Of course, if you're installing earlier versions please ensure that you Custom install > Clean Install.
Btw, I'm on GTX TITAN overclocked and now I'm able to run for the past 3-4 hours without any problems, so I'm hoping it'll be a permanent solution for me and at least be of some help to you.
Good luck!!!
Nevermind, I found the problem, it was conflict with a secondary VOIP program, RaidCall, that was causing the client to crash whenever I was trying to shift+tab through enemies.
It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved. If this does continue to be a concern, please create another thread to further discuss resolutions or contact the Support Center at support.na.square-enix.com for assistance.
