Can you "dye" minons?

I've seen some higher level players with "sparkly" looking minions. One was a ghostly blue with sparkles, another had a fire looking one. Is this something special that I will get later? Can you dye them? How is this possible? It looks so cute. ;~;

no you cant
you can get many minion in game except several that from subscription reward

Are you sure you're not maybe confusing minions with Emerald Carbuncle and Ifrit-Egi respectively, which are the pets for ACN and SMN? Unlike minions, pets are commanded in battle and fight for the player as a part of the class/Job's role. ACN first learns the ability to summon Emerald Carbuncle at level 4, and Ifrit-Egi is level 30ish(?) for SMN I think (please, any SMNs out there, feel free to clarify me on this!). :)

Yes, it is a Lv.30 SMN for ifrit egi. You will need to do the story quest to unlock it first.
