Headsets
To those of you that rely heavily on VOIP in your FC or wherever else, I'm trying to find a good set for a reasonable price that's reliable and won't break within a month. I've been looking at a Turtle Beach PX3, but the reviews on Gamestop are kind of hit & miss.
I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, kindly point me in the right direction and I'll try there.

Tbh I bought myself a 20$ headset and it works perfectly fine. I can hear well and my friends on teamspeak have never had to turn me up or down, and have never complained about me not being clear. You don't really need to fork out that much cash for a headset unless you really want too.

Decent headphones and a desk mic are generally better. Unless you want to be the guy creating a ton of white noise in the background

I know it doesn't look like much, but I replaced my $150 headset with this $15 one and have been happy with it.
Sound quality is good. Mic clarity is good. Easy to install.
Only downside is that it's corded.
I believe there is a USB variant if you don't like 3.5mm connection.

I use a pair of these:
Sennheiser PC 323D
They're great, can't recommend them more. Clear sound both ways, and they're great for listening to music as well. I don't use the 7.1 emulator very often, but when I do, it works very well IMHO.

I still using my Turtle Bench Ear Force X11. Can't find a new pair here in SG :(

I have three headsets ( I am a bit of an audiophile)
Turtle beach P11
Razer Tiamat 7.1
and ASUS ROG Orion Pro.
Stay away from those Razers, they are just overpriced, and unwieldy with some of the drivers failing with only moderate use. They are also kinda heavy so not great for long periods of play, they look cool and most of my rig is razer but I would'nt own another headset after buying those.
The turtle beaches are a great middle of the road option, ok with sound quality VOIP and ease of use. Lightweight so perfect for long gaming sessions, Also moderately priced.
By far the best is the ASUS headset, the fidelility and ease of setup and use compared to the others is amazing. If you enjoy listening to music then they are by far the best headset I've ever owned. Voice communication is good but you can get some wierd feedback issues. But in terms of sound quality they will blow you away.
