I don't need a god damned tutorial!!!!

God damn it, SE. I do not need a tutorial to play a MMO and I don't want to be forced to do one. Yet here you are forcing me to do a lvl 15 guildhest at level 50 but not only that you force me to do the first 3 before I can even get to it?! WTH seriously. This is beyond stupid.

If you're going to have me do stuff at 50 for new content then make it appropriate for lvl 50

Square is simply trying to make players use content that most ignore or -surprise- don't even know about. I for one like how they make note of what players do and don't do and even tie it into the lore - the great Goobbue wall from 1.0, the fact that players simply crowd around Rowena, etc. And make you explore other, forgotten content.

Remember - They COULD have made you do all the guildhests up to the lv. 50 ones for your "Appropriate for level 50 content," but they stopped you at 30.

I would have done guildhests if they unlocked as I leveled, but they force you to do the ones that are supposed to teach you how to play in an mmo which is something I've been doing, so I was not interested. You should be allowed to skip the tutorial IMO.

But... the hests gave you a nice fat exp boost when you did them at the level appropriate moment. If you had actually kept up with them as they had intended for you, you'd have had them all unlocked already and wouldn't have this problem. They're not total gameplay tutorials, but also introductions to some of the mechanics that you wouldn't have seen in other wowclones before now.

And seriously, they take like 3 minutes. Suck it up.

Fate babies make awful end-gamers. I think maybe that's why they did it.

Guildhests do a great job of teaching new players how to handle many in game situations, if they read the text and pay attention.

I am upset that I was forced to waste the thousands of EXP given for first-time Guildhest completion on a level 50 class to simply progress in the storyline. All my combat classes were 50 from 1.0 and I took Arcanist through the storyline to level it up. I was hoping to save those Guildhests for the inevitable Musketeer, but now they've gone to waste.

I felt that was sort of annoying too, especially since I stopped just before the flower Guildhest and need to do like 3 or 4 to unlock the Morbol Guildhest.

With regards to the OP, I can't really agree with being this mad about the tutorial, it was pretty short altogether, and lets you get into the world a lot faster than most current MMOs. Most MMOs have designated newbie areas which are mostly closed off from the rest of the world, it even takes awhile before you're allowed to see the Capital cities.

So yeah, it's a lot better than the standard in these games(EQ2, Tera, WoW, WAR, TOR) if they implemented an option to skip it all new players would just do that, so you already know this is the only way it could possibly be. You're just complaining about nothing.
