Since the patch, my character is appearing very, very low on the screen, so he is covered up by the second toolbar in its default position.
Is there a way to change this so he appears higher on the screen?

Sounds like ur camera angles changed. Just go into the key bind menu. Find the camera change jeys and change them to how u like
Ctrl+Shift+End will bring the camera back to its default position. If there's still something off about it, you can tilt the camera with Ctrl+ the arrow keys.
