Help with PS3 Crossbar Swapping Randomly

I'm sure this has been asked before but a forum search turned up nothing. :( So apologies in advance for redundancy.

While healing, I use xbar 3 for when I'm in a party and xbar 1 for soloing. While in a dungeon, my xbar swaps from 3 to 1 randomly. Say, I just healed person 2, cast a dot on a mob, and BAM back to xbar 1 while casting (thus my weapon isn't sheathed or anything which I've heard may cause xbars to change). X( What is going on and how do I stop it from swapping like this?

eta: I hold R1 and use triangle and x for swapping between them, but I don't like looking down and discovering I'm on the wrong xbar! I need to be watching mobs and party hp!

Are you pressing R1 on it's own by any chance? That circles through available cross-bars and might be cause of your issue.

No, I'm not, because I'm not touching R1 except to return back to my #3 bar. But next time I'm party healing in a dungeon, I'll watch for this just in case. :)

eta: Actually, this is not possible. Tapping R1 will only bring up my pet bar. If I want to go back to xbar 1 on purpose, I have to hold R1 and hit triangle (same for going to #3, I have to hold R1 and hit x).

I had a similar issue with my THM when running dungeons. I had a xBar 1 for solo and xBar 2 for dungeons, i found when i swapped the two around the issue stopped. I don't know what caused it but it helped. As my monk I only swap bars for abilities that I don't need full time or my mount or food and stuff so its r1+O throw out buffs eat food r1+tri right after.

Do you have the customization of the hotbars set to on in the character configuration menu? Or shared bars? Or set different bars for sheated / unsheated weapon?

If it goes always back to xbar 1 it most likely has to do with the sheath/draw weapon. it happens to me all the times with BLM which has a similar setup of yours. Otherwise it is a bug. try to disable the automatic xbar switching in the settings. At least for testing because I prefer it on nonetheless.
