Crystal Tower Drop Rates

Hello,

So I have run CT a few times now and the vast majority of the drops have been tank gear (I saw one piece of dragoon gear as well I think)

Wondering if anybody else has had the same experience?

My runs have mostly been MNK / Caster gear so far.

Do we truly need to talk about RNG yet again?

So far I have seen Tank, Bard, Monk, and Caster gear.

Wondering if anybody else has had the same experience?

I think SE's random number generator is using loaded dice sometimes.

Nope. Your lucky. I rolled a 28 sided die and never saw a three or six. Yours must be loaded.

My understanding is that they in fact had to adjust BC drop rates so I thought I'd just ask what others have experienced...

If you roll a 6 on a 6-sided die 8 times in a row, you almost certainly have a loaded die as the chance of such a thing occurring randomly is (5*10^-5)%. If you roll it 24 times in a row.....Of course this is not how random number generation works for computers. I would also assume that each drop is actually weighted intentionally based on the party configuration required (?)

Incidentally, Brutikus, your analogy is backwards. The more sides the die has, the more quickly the chances of getting the same side multiple times should diminish. Sinth's is a much closer analogy to what my initial observation was.

Edit: I just realized that my groups' and my perception might simply have to do with the fact that there are "tank", "caster", and "healer" gear sets and then "monk", "dragoon", and "bard" sets for the physical DPS classes.

Hey guys, I rolled an 8 sided dice 40 times today and never saw a 2. RNG working as intended, amirite?

Edit: 40 CTs, Healer helm never dropped. Acheron drops 8 different items with 13 uses due to shared loot. Depending on how SE wanted to do it, I would assume a 1/8 or 2/13 chance of it dropping. Woo. RNG. Woo.
