Binding Coil of Bahamut is just boring

I know maybe I'm weird. But its just boring. I don't find it exciting.
A lot of people have already gotten so far in this, just to have a patch come out
like Crystal tower, that is a stepping stone to coil.

It really kind of kills it for me. I want the loot, I understand some of the fights,
but all in all, Coil seems pretty boring to me. Does anyone else feel this way?
All this new content out and all these groups are just like

"Well better run coil get it out of the way for this week"
Which is logical, but its kind of depressing.

What would make coil not 'boring' to you?

probably having a well planned challenging dungeon, with traps and actually real hard mobs in the way... a decent layout, and decent boss mechanics that dont revolve only about moving around during the fight to dodge this or that... but then again FFXiV isnt a game with pve good enough to catter to hardcore pve players.

Warthain pretty much summed it up.
Plus something about the layout of the place seems a little dull.
The music is nice though.
I think that first path leading to the Snakes in turn 1 was alright.
I'd like to see a longer version of that with some mini-bosses thrown in.

Maybe a stronger storyline with voice-acting in combat that you can actually hear.

dodging stuff adds challenge? or did you prefer games that are only "hold it here, dont move, keep hitting a hate move, keep smacking it, and keep healing" battles like coil that involve movement, the environment and other mechanics "like stack swapping and rot" add excitement to the game.

Pretty much every boss in ffxi could be beat by 1 person controlling 6 bots(minus alliance bosses) because all you do is stand in 1 place and hit macros based on tank hp, mob hp, tp and maybe scanning chat for abilities to stun.
Youre never going to see a bot group beat anything in this game.

I will agree that i would like more turns like T1 and 3 (once something is put here) that are actual mini dungeons and not just, enter zone, fight boss.

I enjoy a nice challenge, like for example, Titan HM or Ultima EX.
Just to clearify.

i started shouting for t1-t3 a couple of weeks ago (Monk or PLD) and all 3 turns are just "meh" imo. easy with a competent group.

T1-ADS. have PLD, monk or bard silence after every piercing laser, i have no idea what goes on in the back of the room but okay. after that just trash.

Caduceus. mt just sits on 1 hexagon rotating skills. dps make sure to avoid tail swipe and glowing platforms. ot just pick up other half of caduceus and pray that a healer doesn't get b**** slapped in the process.

T2-nodes. move the enemy target hud and your status hud to the middle of the screen, nuff said.

T3-garbage

heard t4 was a gear check so i never bothered to check out a guide and t5 is a heavy gear check and everyone pre-nerf just had problems dodging one move? i look forward to t4-t5 but im going to wait till im not wearing any 70 gear haha

You must not have gone very far into BC if you think Titan HM and Ultima EX are 'a nice challenge'.

It sucks. Just a bunch of trials thrown together, except trials are actually exciting. Fighting lol ADS for two turns, or some fanservice elite mobs that don't do anything besides hit for high damage gets old fast.
Caduceus is fun though. Nice scenary and music on T1.

I just want my healer chest from T4 and never go back. I'll not even bother with Twintania, seems like a big bs with bad mechanics and gearchecks thrown in so the few that tolerates it can feel special.
