I'm not entirely sure what you were thinking, SQEnix, but having your casts interrupted due to any direct damage was a terrible decision. If you were worried about the potential for damage by casters then you should have nerfed their damage in PvP.
I am effectively done with PvP until this is fixed.

Equanimity should be used once you know you can use it. I.e slept tank dps is on you and your war and other dps has their healer holmganged stunned. And just obliterate them. Scathe kiting with lethargy around a wall and cast bliz 2 when they go around and their stunned move a bit then freeze/sleep. Lots and lots
Pvp gear is a must. -

While the 100% interrupting bothers me to the point that I don't play PvP, it's because I'm not a hardcore PvPer. PvP involves much more strategy than PvE ever will and there is an insane amount of builds, strategy and reaction-time to learn that it feels daunting to me (not to mention I have weird anxiety problems, but that could be an autism problem...).
However, anyone who can consider themselves a hardcore PvPer should easily be able to handle this. 100% interruption makes so much more sense in a PvP instance. If I ran up to you with a sword while you were charging a magic attack and I whacked you in the face, you wouldn't be able to continue charging. Sitting infront of another player while we sit and see who's rotation/gear is better is exceptionally boring. I should be countering, I should be evading and I should be taking any chance I get to go uninterrupted. Imagine watching boxing, except every time someone gets punched, they have no reaction. They just keep hitting with no cares about getting hit.
I don't play PvP, despite how much I like the concept of this games PvP, but I don't want them changing it because of a few people on the forums who want the game to be the same as every other MMO they've played. Everyone wants something different from every new MMO that pops up, yet because WoW set a standard in the MMO community whenever a game tries something different everyone freaks out and demand they make it the same way they're used to. This is why so many MMO's fail and it's why so many are bland and named as clones of WoW. If MMO's had the freedom to try new things we would have much better games than we do now.
Adapt or move on. I've seen plenty of BLM posting about how good they are at PvP and the few videos I've seen so far, they probably aren't exaggerating. Not to mention how boring WoW PvP is... I was so sick and tired of hearing about "one-shot macro's". So glad macro's aren't useful enough for the majority of combat in this game. -

Yea I've got a BLM in my premade pvp group and between sleeps and slows he brings so much to a team. He does struggle to cast, but with coordination we can set up burst to where he can sleep whoever is training him and we can drop some serious damage onto a focus target. We win 90% of our games easily.

This shit isn't balanced yet but my group's BLM completely dominates matches with slows and sleeps, we wouldn't win without them.
