2.1 Gear Progression?

So, fresh 50 WAR here, and I am curious about the new gear progression in 2.1.

Before it seemed pretty straight forward; WP, AK, Primals, DL/DS, Coil.

Now I am here straight out of Praetorium, ilvl 50, which according to SE should make me good/close to good for CT. Some how I feel that's probably wrong and am concerned doing that.

Anyone have any ideas for a gearing up path in 2.1? All the new options have my head spinning. (All but beast men quests, that doesn't feel viable at all).

PS. I haven't played XI for years, and I'm used to a more linear gear progression, ie WoW, SWTOR. Be gentle.

WP and AK are pretty much similar now, WP hasn't changed, but AK got nerfed to similar difficulty (maybe SLIGHTLY higher) and both award the same tomes now 100/30.

I'd run AK and WP, and do your Daily Roulettes first.
This will get you i55/i60 gear, plus plenty of Tomes for Darklight gear and some i90.

Once you have a few pieces of Darklight, go for HM Ifrit -> HM Garuda.
Then Moggle/Crystal Tower/HM Titan/HM Ultima once you have a Primal Weapon.
Then Coil and the EM Primals (though at the very minimum I'd wait until you have your Relic and Full/Nearly Full Darklight).

Coil Turns 1 and 2 are pretty straightforward and a decent gear check, if you can do HM Titan you can do them (gearwise) with no problems. Turn 4 is a bit of a harder gear check. Turn 5 is even harder.
All IMHO, naturally! :)

Unless they changed the drop rates substantially, if you're spamming WP or AK for tomes, you'll end up with plenty of Vermilion and Hoplite gear.
I still keep the Hoplite Head/Body and Legs/Feet, simply because going from Darklight (2-piece) to i90 (2x 1-pieces) for Tanks is awkward without it.

In terms of dungeon progression though, since the Dailies reward extra tomes now you may find yourself grabbing Darklight "too fast" to worry about it.

RE endgame gear progression, once you start looking at Coil you need to be careful of the Accuracy caps (~482 for Tanks for T5). Don't just equip gear because it's a higher ilevel! :)

You'll more then likely get full hoplite while spamming for DL. Also do Crystal Tower for i80 drops. With the 450 myth cap, make that priority and grab Myth body,head,ring as you progress. (I skipped HDL body altogether this way)
