Early PVP progression... ilvl 70 gear a waste?

Since pvp is brand new and barely anyone has pvp gear, my theory is (at least for about the first 2months) most people your playing with/against are in the same boat, not having much morale unless your wearing that crap55 stuff, that you would benefit more from having more HP from the90pve gear.
Do you think its better to save for the90s or just buy a set of70s for now? I know itll be awhile to grind up to rank 30 but since the grind is SLOW im thinking in the long run itll be more benefical. If ur gonna grind to rank30 fast do you really need the little morale youll get now? Id rather stay in my pve gear and be able to grab some nice ilvl90 pieces when I hit 30, and not wasting any points/materia in the70 gear that your just gonna replace anyway.My main is bard, but honestly ive been queueing as scholar for instant queues. The time wasted between queueing solo as a dps compared to heals is huge.
At this point the more games I can play is more beneficial than what class im playing
