Who/what are the adds in the Garuda fight (Suparna and the other birdchick)

I was wondering this today. The nails in Ifrit and the heart in Titan seem to be artifacts of some kind, but the adds in the Garuda fight (HM specifically at least), appear to possibly be sentient beings. Any ideas what they are?

I've always taken them to be momentary clones, myself.

In Hindu/Buddhist mythology, Suparna, Chirada, and Garuda are all names attributed to the same entity.

The Infernal Nails and Titan's Heart actually seem to be part of the force that is rooting Ifrit and Titan to our plane. Both, when left unchecked, allow for a large amount of aetheric energy to be unleashed upon the surrounding area. My guess, is that, when destroyed, greatly weaken the hold the primal has on our plane, and thus, reduce the amount of aether released [we take less damage]. It would also explain why the primals cannot be reasonably defeated without destroying them (in game terms).

As for Superna and Chirada, I'm with Moose. Smaller health pools and weaker overall stats imply that they are created upon a moments' notice.

They could also be figures in Ixal theology, but that isn't explained anywhere in game, and is completely base-less.
