turn 2 rage mode fight, is this allowed or not?

Has a dev ever weighed in on whether or not waiting for ADS to rage before fighting is an allowable tactic? I have been leaving every party that does it because I don't want to risk getting in trouble.

Edit: that was a bit of sarcasm. The regular mechanics aren't anything harder than AoE healing.

I don't even understand why people are waiting around to kill ADS. It's already a stupid easy fight, those groups are just wasting their own time.

They go after people who use exploits, like the one that glitched out and froze chimera way back. An enrage timer causing enrage is not an exploit, they just mis-tuned the fight since I doubt it was intended to survive it.

It's not an exploit or bug. It's a strategy.

If you don't have enough healing / DPS then you'll wipe trying this method. It is an alternative mechanic. No one is exploiting a glitch like Twintania or Titan.

So rage mode drops mechanics in favor of increasing damage correct? (haven't run coil yet, no time with school and work) Sounds more like people have outgeared the rage mechanic, I don't see how that would be an exploit. They aren't glitching the boss correct? (IE doing a specific action that causes the mob in question to respond abnormally) ADS continues to do what it's supposed too during it's rage mode? That's not an exploit, that's tactics.

Hmmm... does CNJ and WHM count as the same class for the slower LB2/3 build?

If no, then you'll need 1 CNJ w/ Titan, Extreme Primal turn in, or Allagan weapon to have an I80+ weapon on CNJ.

I wouldn't consider it an exploit. I wouldn't bat an eyelash if they buff the rage mode though.

But considering there isn't any crazy jumping, specific move order, etc I wouldn't worry about it. ADS is doing exactly what he was programed to do when raged (ie. you aren't causing him to not do any other actions, that is how he was designed). They just didn't make it strong enough.

I would be extremely shocked if they punished players for doing it.

OP you shouldn't have even made this thread, you seem completely biased on all your responses and no one else is right besides people who agree with your opinion.
And sorry if it's not a hard figh for YOU, you are not the entire player base so don't speak on behalf of everyone.
It's a tactic IMO, the term exploit gets thrown around like a joke.
