Would this run ff14?
I am debating on buying this laptop:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Natural...tlyViewedItems
but i want to know if it could run ff14 at a decent rate with hardly any lag lol not expecting high settings out of this laptop but will no longer possibly have my ps3 soon so trying to get something so i can play but cant go any higher than the amount this laptop costs and I split between mom and dad so a desktop cant do cause i dont want to haul that around lol

If you can wait until february the PS4 will be the cheapest option with the best performance under your price range.

No that won't run FFXIV, it will suck.
Like sunarine said, wait for PS4. That or save and up your PC Budget to $1000 and get a desktop.

i wouldnt mind waiting but my fellow fc members wouldnt be able to go on that long without me lol and i would miss it too much lol which i thought about the ps4 route but if i get that i have to think about all the other games i want so would wind up costing me about 900 in the end lol when i can just get me a laptop that can run it all right maybe lol
and i got a friend who has an almost identically laptop with same graphics card and he says he runs it fine ikd what kind of processor he has this money is just what im gonna have for awhile xD christmas and birthday money lol and i wont get anymore money until christmas and bday again lol

i run FFXIV on - Samsung NP550P7C and on a Macbook Air I5
Both run it very well, not complaints here

To me, this laptop sounds OK. It might play this game properly at minimal laptop settings. In my opinion, this is quite a decent office laptop, but not a gaming one.
I'm a little worried for playing games with it. Based on the image, this is a really slim laptop, which means the graphic card will be quite small. Your site boast about 4GB of video memory, but it's probably shared with the hard disk. This Hard disk being 1T and the price of the machine low, I'm betting on a 5400RPM (which is as slow as the PS3 hard disk). This means the video memory might be very slow. Looks like it is a video card to display HD Youtube videos. FFXIV being graphic card intensive, this card will not be able to satisfy much more than minimal settings. I'm also betting for this price, the laptop will have a tendency to overheat a lot while playing graphic games such as FFXIV.
In the end, I think this would be a waste of money if you intend to play intensively with it. For $600, your best bet is a desktop (assuming you already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse). You can get decent processors and proper graphic cards that will play this game a lot better than on the laptop you mentioned.
For best quality/price, I recommend you to buy a PS4. It will cost you only $400, you will have more video game capacities than a $2000 gaming machine. The drawback is that you will need to wait another 2 months before the PS4 betas start.

Think about the longer term. If you spend that cash right now on a crummy laptop you're stuck with it. There should be better options still in that price range. Shop elsewhere, forget walmart.

If you were one of my FC members, We'd be able to go on that long without you. :)

well the reason im doing walmart is due to i can save 10% with my moms discount card lol but i mean i would do a desktop but i dont have a moniter but i have a keyboard and mouse already cause i play ff14 on ps3 but i was just wanting something a little easier to carry around xD but if it all boils down to it i may go the ps4 route

or buy a 1-2 year used Asus Rog laptop . . .
I bought mine for 799$ new 2 years ago I7 proc
8GB memory
128GB ssd
1TB storage drive
Nvidia 560 1.5GB graphics
game runs on mid-high setting np and scored 6500 on the 720P bench
for budget gaming and being able to be mobile it was a great deal.
Plus if he need to build a desktop 1K ain't gonna cut it if he needs everything . . .
Like Windows license
monitor
case
PSU
and all the little things that go into a build
and a pre made that's decent 1K will barely cover you . . . if the OP is Canadian and has to pay 13%
tax meaning their actual budget is like under 900$ its not worth it for a desktop . . .
