Passive - Active Stance

I noticed something weird happening when I was doing a few Amdapor Keep runs earlier as Blackmage.

When normally target and start my first spell cast, I go from Passive to Active, changing targetting filter from ALL to Others, so I can target other enemies more easily, using a Gamepad on PC.

But when I did that in AK, I noticed that STRAIGHT after channeling Thunder, I saw filter go from ALL to Others and back to ALL.
After each cast was done, my character moved weird as I stood straight upright with staff on my back, but casting the next spell I had staff in my hand like normal and in Active stance.

What is going on? Is this a new bug due to the 3rd Ball of Fire or Ice showing the stacks of Umbral/Astrals ?
