I was promised a latency fix this patch. I went to the instance and it's the same latency problem as before! I still get hit by stuff a second or 2 after I run out of red. I played WoW for 7 years and never had this problem. I only have it in this game. If it's not gonna be fixed I will unsub. :mad:
What content did you do? as I'm aware it's only HM/EM primals, raid dungeons (coil) and pvp that was getting the latency fix.
Latency like that SE can't fix. Try a VPN. WoW servers are not located at the same place as FFXIV. You can have routing issue to FFXIV servers and not WoW.
I tried hakkuke manor HM before and the latency has definitely improved, but there was the odd occasion were I was still getting hit by AOE that I was miles out of.

They said they're only doing it for certain instances now and adding it later to the rest of the game. It's a resource issue or something like that so they're only doing it on important stuff for now.
You're still going to get hit by stuff sometimes when out of it if you experience some latency, or packetloss. The fix they did was not to reduce latency or packetloss itself (they can't do that) nor was it a change in the netcode's design to a more network friendly approach. They just increased the amount the server receives your position, if the actual information still runs into hiccups traveling you'll see them. It was a bandaid fix, similar to the one they did going from Beta to launch. Makes the issue less obvious but by no mean fixes the core of the problem.
They can't save you from having a crappy connection to the server.
Whenever I have problems I check my latency to several places. Even before the changes I don't have an issue until it's over about 200ms to the data center. It's always some intermediate hop. Nothing they can do about it.
