I'm wondering if i55 Morale out weighs i90 gear. I haven't had the chance to try any of it out yet but going to find out later tonight first hand but it just does not seem like it from 1st impressions.

I've done 3 wolves dens so far first 2 as whm. full dl and strat ring. 1st one went well 2nd one I got murdered. 3rd attempt I went as blm i83 only missing a few pieces of i90 feet ring belt neck. Gonna keep going as blm and right down my numbers and try and pay attention to what others are wearing. after a few more attempts going to town to craft me some full pvp gear for blm and crunch some numbers. pretty hard to get into matches as dps. well not hard but timely.
If it's anything like old school WoW PvP, Resilience (Morale) really makes a pretty big difference. I don't know the impact of choosing between the difference in VIT between i55 and i90 gear vs picking up more Morale will be though.
There is a pretty well written post on reddit how it makes a pretty big difference for dps.
Doesnt hurt to try, its dirt cheap to make.

From just playing it seems pretty balanced in comparison to ilvl 90 gear. Just from looking at the scoreboard after games the damage done ratio for BRD seem spretty on par with pve. eg. one match got 2 kills along with an ilvl 90 geared MNK. MNK did 12k damage, I, as BRD, did 10k. Both with 2 kills.
So, just going on play and not hard data. Id say if you have Ilvl90 gear you can bypass ilvl 55 and take the ilvl 70 to use. But, if you dont have ilvl 90 gear, then get the pvp set.
Thus, Ive come to conclusion that the first tier is balanced between pve gear and pvp gear. Which, imo, is good.
ilvl 90 pvp gear seems to be better than ilvl 90 pve gear from what I've seen. Based on that logic, and checking out the stat budgets, I'd say the PvP ilvl 55 gear is extremely worth it, just because you'll take less damage, and it has a lot of damage boosting stats, as opposed to the necessary NPC stats you need for dungeons.
I'd pick up the accessories at the very least.
pre pvp i had a mix between i70 and i90s to max my crit as smn, im planning on replacing all the i70s with i70 pvp until i can get i90 pvp. im hitting pretty hard , and can survive and kite good enough, what i think ill get most is sleep and stun res resist as caster.

Morale seems to actually 'replace' DEF and Magic DEF stats in terms of dmg reduction, or makes a huge contribution, anyway. Or so the stat description says. It also says it makes a solid contribution to dmg. I would keep your ilvl 90 Weapon over the Morale ilvl 50 one, but switch up the armor and accessories.
