Magic or status afflicting enhanced weapons/ammo

I dont know if this has been brought up and I'd like to tag it with a dev tag, but dont know which to use. But what this stems from is while playing archer, all I keep thinking about is how nice it'd be to be able to have a poison tip arrow for dot, or elementally charged damage ontop of the arrow's damage. I'm sort of thinking of an -en like effect that would work on arrows, whether something that comes from a particular arrow itself or a skill that needs to be applied to the toon themselves, such as RDM's 'en' spells.

Thoughts?

They kinda already have the second idea, in the coral arrows. They do water damage (30%). Only thing is, it seems to be widely accepted that they suck for damage, so most people stick with silver arrows (assuming they're not still using warped ones).
