Just was thinking thy said 24 hour mate would be longest time, if it were to be done in less time could we be playing with new content before tomorrow? Just was wondering.

Would assume so! Probably a good move to have people that are frantic about getting on get funneled in earlier, than to have EVERYONE hammer the servers at once when the 24 hours are up.

I'm sure they will finish early (say 5PM PST) and put the servers up only to have them immediately collapse. They will then run more server maintenance for 5 hours claiming it's still part of the originally planned maintenance.
Servers will then be bouncing up and down over the next 5 days as they find all the issues with the new server structures with duties/housing/log-in's.

My guess is that if the servers are up earlier, we still wouldn't be able to play the new content before tomorrow. Just guessing, tho.

I was not sure if OP's question was as simple as he posted, i.e.: forecasted maintenance is 24 hours. A day = 24 hours. If maintenance time < 24 hours, can we play within 24 hours?
Rather than answering with "derp" I gave OP the benefit of a doubt.
