Why the heck not......
If supposedly we are able to make all the gil we need after the patch
And it costs way to much now
And it needs to be a gil sink
Why not charge the fc a monthly fee to get the plot they want, and treat it like real life?
We all just need a second job of daily's to pay this one.
They already talked about this ages ago.
No guarantees players can afford to pay back the GIL
What can they do if players cant make payment? cant ban them.
E.T.C. google past interviews its all there
Or maybe you can just play the game, save up your Gils and buy a nice house.
In SWG we had an mortgage payment. If you didn't login after so many days the house deed was removed. SWG houses were affordable and you could place them wherever you wanted. The only expensive items were some furniture i.e. ornate rug/anniversary paintings.
IMO, this is how housing should be done. Affordable prices for small, medium, and large personal housing with FC/guilds having their own separate housing or player cities. Or as Wildstar is doing, you get a plot of land once you hit lvl 14 or so and then you build upon that, upgrading it, etc.
