Automatic Bonus Point Allotment

Hey all,

Was recently reading the results of the 2nd players poll. One of the topics I feel that needs to be covered is automatic bonus point allotment.

I feel that if physical level was removed and when people rank up on their job there should be an automatic bonus point allotment system like in FFXI. This would differentiate classes much better than having people take advantage and pump points into particular stats. Armor and food stat boosts have no effect because of this or very little effect at all. I think if they had automatic stat distribution it would give classes their own unique identity. Such as Paladin having higher VIT and decent MND to support their tanking and moderate curing abilities, Warrior/DD classes would have more STR and DEX to assist in their damage and accuracy, etc. It would also help differentiate each jobs unique task when it comes to party based play rather then everyone spamming attacks quickly just to take down a mob. Overall I just feel it would bring more enjoyment to the game.

I'm all for the changes to Eorzea to make it a better playing experience for everyone and I think this would be something other people would enioy too.

I also think it should be called Level or Job Level rather than Rank as well.

I disagree. Give people more freedom... Don't take some away! I believe there was a second option in that player poll which was to eliminate physical level but instead manually assign points for every class. This is a much better option. It gives people freedom to build their ideal characters. The race should be about the appearance, lore and looks not about stats or your performance, it creates racism! Next thing you know nobody will want a lalafell tank or a galka mage because they would in comparison to the correct race suck at that class.

And yea, rank sounds a bit odd...

I like being able to adjust my stats. What SE could/should do is help us out a bit. Only make it one click per stat point, instead of 2-3 when the ability is 40+. You can still make these points cost 2-3, just don't make us click it.
