Many Kinds of Players
A variety of people are playing FFXIV. I am 65 yr. old grandmother with physical disability. Been playing FF since stone age. Sons encouraged me to play this is my first MMO. I play because family has always played FF together. Nor all of us have lightning reflexes or a 1,000 hrs of MMO play. I am slower than many but I am also determined. Respect for all players abilities and challenges is crucial. I refused to play WOW with my guys because of the hard-core brutally insulting atmosphere. I like the kindness of many players in FF. I have run into the obnoxious, impatient and snarky lol. Thank heaven for a supportive and generous FC. They help the slower less capable enjoy the game. Thank SQ for a game with a variety of activities. Maybe I will never conquer Titan but I can gather and craft and keep our FC chest full of food and crystals. We all contribute to the game we play. We can choose to be fun and supportive.

I'd like this post if I could on mobile.

Nice to see some positivity . :-) bump.

My mom stopped playing RPGs around 50. Good to see there's one out there carrying on the fun times! Hope this patch brings you more things to do with your FC! :)

I'd offer you a hand with Titan if you were on Behemoth!
Good luck :)

Only positive thread since the 2.1 patch notes. Kudos to you for being able to keep up with the current generation, have to say I am a bit surprised.

It's worth reading every negative thread to find one of these positive ones. The best thing about an MMO, better than getting the big bosses killed and the best gear, is playing with other people - especially, friends and family.
Keep it up, you'll get your Titan kill. It might take a while, but having fun in the meantime makes the wait worthwhile.

Yeah okay. My granny uses terms like WoW, lol, hardcore, and knows how the stigma of having less than 1000 hours of mmo play could make her look in the eyes of mmo players too (even though it is her first one in fact!).
Tell me more. Please.

I wish I was easy-going like you...
